What happened to ECW'S Super Crazy ?
Super Crazy had visa problems which prevented him from reentering the country to work following a trip back home to Mexico. He is currently working shows for AAA in his native country, and is expected to eventually return to ECW.
Was Kid Kash ever named David Jericho ?
Kid Kash has used several names in his career. David Tyler, Davey Morton, David Jericho among them. ECW even spoofed his names at one point, billing him as "Davey Tyler Morton Jericho".
How did Joel Gertner go from being a regular ring announcer to the heel ring announcer he was when with the Dudley's ?
Joel Gertner was a regular ring announcer for a while, with his gimmick being that he would announce lucha libre competitors in Spanish. He eventually became the regular ring announcer for Shane Douglas and Francine, and after being established as a heel announcer, began accompanying the Dudleys to ringside, where he developed his trademark introductions.
What's going with ECW and XPW ?
XPW interrupted ECW's Heatwave PPV, and has since used what media attention they've received to make grandstand challenges at ECW. ECW has no comment on them. There was no angle, co-promotional agreement, or "work" involved here.
When they use staple guns in ECW matches, do they really staple the guy ?
No. Joey Styles pointed out that the staple guns were not loaded, pointing out that the point in wrestling was to simulate violence, not actually have it in the ring.
I haven't seen Jack Victory involved directly in a match in ECW. Why doesn't he Wrestle ?
Jack Victory broke his leg during a tag team match at the November to Remember 1998, in which Victory and Justin Credible wrestled Tommy Dreamer and Jake Roberts. Victory became a manager while he healed, and has remained in that role, although he has participated in six man and tag team bouts as of late. The veteran currently managed Steve Corino and Scotty Anton, and is also part of ECW's promotional team behind the scenes.
ECW sold Rhino as "the man who put 'lil Spike out of action" but I thought Mike Awesome did it ?
Spike's knee was injured over time, although his brutal series with Mike Awesome definitely contributed to it. When it was decided that Spike was going to have surgery, and miss a great deal of time, ECW created the angle where Rhino injured Spike at the ECW Arena. This was to play off Rhino as a monster, injuring wrestlers, as he was also credited with injuring Rob Van Dam (he was the opponent, although he had nothing to do with RVD's injury).
Which stars from ECW appeared on WWF T.V during the whole invasion episode. I remember Heyman, Sabu and Van Dam. Was there anyone else ?
ECW's first appearance at a WWF event was on September 22, 1996, when Paul E., Tommy Dreamer and The Sandman showed up at ringside during an In Your House pay-per-view. The next night on Raw, Taz and Bill Alfonso stormed ringside. Then, nothing occurred, until they began the angle where Jerry Lawler challenged Paul E. to bring ECW wrestlers to the Manhattan Center.
On February 24, 1997, ECW had three matches on Raw from the Manhattan Center. The Center was the semi-permanent home for Raw originally, although by this point it was just another building they held it in. ECW had never held an event there at that point. The matches saw Taz defeat Mikey Whipwreck, Tommy Dreamer defeat D-Von Dudley, and Stevie Richards defeat Little Guido. The Eliminators, Sabu, Sandman, Bubba Ray Dudley, the BWO, Paul E. were also there. The matches were officiated by ECW referees.
This led to an on again, off again relationship, where ECW talent, like Rob Van Dam, Chris Candido and Sabu would wrestle on WWF shows.
